Fox Valley Virtual School partners with Wisconsin school districts to provide a high-quality, full-time online learning option for resident students — while allowing them to remain connected to their home district.
Through a district-to-district partnership, students can enroll in Fox Valley Virtual School for their academic instruction while remaining a resident student of their local district.
This means students may:
- Participate in athletics through their resident district
- Join extracurricular and co-curricular activities
- Remain part of their local school community
- Maintain local relationships and connections
Our goal is not to replace a student’s connection to their home district — it’s to expand options and provide an additional pathway for families who need a virtual solution.
Why Districts Partner With Fox Valley Virtual
Not every district has the capacity to build and staff a comprehensive 4K–8 virtual program. Partnering with Fox Valley Virtual allows districts to:

How the Partnership Works
Each partnership is established through a formal agreement between Fox Valley Virtual School and the participating district.
In general:
- Students enroll in Fox Valley Virtual School for academic instruction.
- The student remains a resident of their home district.
- Financial and administrative details are coordinated district-to-district.
- The home district may continue to provide extracurricular access, subject to district policies.
We work closely with district administrators to ensure clarity, compliance, and a smooth experience for students and families.
