Environmental-Focused Learning Activities

We enjoy a special partnership with Heckrodt Wetland Reserve, a 91-acre urban nature reserve with habitats including forested wetland, cattail marsh, open water, created prairie, open field, and upland forest. 

What Does it Offer?

Our partnership facilitates environmental stewardship in a fun, hands-on experience that includes a creatively designed curriculum to help students discover the outdoor world. Discovery packs, virtual presentations, and onsite field experiences allow students to interact with experts and the real-world living things and phenomena they study, allowing them to develop an environmental consciousness.
