Our Mission Statement
Fox Valley Virtual School is a public school that operates through a charter with the Menasha Joint School District. Fox Valley Virtual School empowers students to be themselves, manage their learning, and develop the skills to ensure they reach their potential. Guided by relationship-driven teachers and research-supported curriculum, Fox Valley Virtual serves students throughout Wisconsin.
Fox Valley Virtual School is a virtual public school that serves students entering 4K through 8th grade. Tuition-free for all families, we welcome students from within and outside the district. We blend the best of in-person and virtual education to create a flexible, student-centered model for modern families. Our approach combines daily live instruction, personalized small-group and one-on-one support, and independent learning opportunities, empowering students to take ownership of their education. By fostering strong connections and providing adaptable learning experiences, we help students grow academically, personally, and socially in a way that meets unique family needs.
Founded by Renae Braun and staffed by experienced Menasha Joint School District teachers, Fox Valley Virtual School offers a unique opportunity for families looking for flexibility and accessibility without sacrificing hands-on learning and school community.

We use a rigorous curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving, helping students develop strong skills. From researching passion projects to visiting with authors in book clubs to visiting Heckrodt Wetland Nature Reserve, Fox Valley Virtual School engages students at every turn.
Plus, in addition to lessons in guidance, physical education, art, and music, students are further supported by all the district’s excellent resources, including special, gifted, and ELL education.
Our educators make technology low-stress and intuitive for families, prioritizing meeting students where they are and helping them grow. We provide each student with:
- a Chrome book
- document camera
- hotspots
- learning supplies
We are a vibrant community where students can be themselves and develop confidence, curiosity, and a life-long love of learning.
